Wave 2 findings confirm what we observed in wave 1: this is a time of ongoing global negativity, driven by both domestic and global concerns. This negativity is most pronounced in donor countries.
However, the inclusion of emerging powers in wave 2 reveals a more nuanced picture: India and Indonesia stand out as most positive about global progress – possibly reflecting their own recent experience of development.

In this context, health remains a source of greater hope.
As we observed in wave 1, there remains greater positivity and optimism about progress made in global health than global progress overall.
Overall, emerging powers and LMICs/LICs continue to be more positive than donor countries about health progress.
